Community-based rehabilitation and empowerment for an inclusive, dignified life.
Our PwD program began in 2003 when the organization recognized a significant gap: community members lacked awareness about persons with disabilities, and government services were not reaching this population.
This finding sparked a comprehensive Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program that mobilizes PwDs through SHG formation, progressing to cluster, block, and district-level federations. This structure enables peer experience-sharing, scheme information dissemination, and collective advocacy.
Today, with a 3,500-member Vidarbha-level federation, the program has reached over 30,000 PwDs through 132 SHGs, 25 cluster federations across 3 districts. A total of 447 social enterprises have been developed, and 931 government and non-government officials have been trained across Gadchiroli and Nagpur districts (19 blocks).
